Community Groups

Our Community Groups allow us to enhance current friendships and create new ones. We participate in various studies throughout the year, meeting in homes in the Downriver area. We offer Community Groups that meet every weeknight to accommodate any schedule. Please fill out this form to register for a group.

Calvary Student Ministries

CSM is Calvary’s middle and high school ministry. Whether we play games, discuss the Bible or just hang out we are all about connecting with you and learning about who you are! We meet in the CSM rooms (At the side of the building) and are always up for a fun time.

Calvary Kids

We know the importance of growth in our kids and how vital it is to teach them about Jesus. Calvary Kids is our ministry specifically for kids in grades K-5. Through games, loving teachers and great lessons we work to build a strong Christ-centered foundation for the generation of the future.

LIGHTHOUSE JOURNEY

Spiritual growth can be fun, too! Lighthouse Journey is a school year-length program for elementary school kids that focuses on helping kids grow in the study of who God is and what Scriptures say using games, lessons, crafts and more!

Nursery (infants & todlers)

Our Nursery Ministry provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where young children can be cared for while parents participate in worship and church activities. Our team is committed to helping each child feel welcomed, valued, and loved as they begin experiencing the love of God.

calvary worship

The Worship Team is made up of musicians and vocalists who use their gifts to serve the church and lead others in worship. More than just music, this ministry is about creating opportunities for people to draw closer to God and experience unity through worship together.

Calvary Cares Ministry

We know that life can be difficult. Even more so, life can make it too difficult for us to be able to provide the necessities we or our families need. It is not weak or a burden to need help, we all need help at some point in our lives. That’s why we started the Calvary Cares Ministry. We want to be able to provide what we can to help you get food on the table or stay warm during winter.
CCM is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month and is available to anyone in need within our community. The entrance is located on the side of the building.

Saftey & security

Our Safety & Security Team helps create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From assisting during services and events to responding in emergencies, this team works behind the scenes to help our church family feel cared for and protected while they worship, connect, and grow.

missions trip team

Our Missions Trip Team exists to share the love of Jesus beyond the walls of our church through local, national, and global outreach opportunities. Whether serving communities in need, supporting ministry partners, or building relationships through service, this ministry helps people step out in faith and make an impact for Christ.

Social Media Team

Our Social Media Team helps share the story of what God is doing at Calvary Church through creative and engaging online content. From highlighting events and ministries to encouraging people throughout the week, this team uses digital platforms to help people stay connected and reach others with the message of Jesus.

Common Grounds is more than just coffee — it’s a place to connect, relax, and build community. Whether you’re grabbing a drink before service or spending time with friends and family, this ministry helps create a welcoming space where conversations and relationships can grow.

Tech Crew

Our Tech Team helps create an environment where people can worship, connect, and engage without distraction. From sound and screens to lighting and livestream, this team works behind the scenes to support the life of the church and help people experience what God is doing at Calvary. Through both creativity and service, the Tech Team plays an important role in building community and making every service welcoming and accessible.

Women’s ministry

Women’s Ministry exists to help women connect with God and with each other in authentic and life-giving ways. Whether through small groups, special events, or shared conversations, this ministry creates opportunities for spiritual growth, encouragement, and lasting relationships.

Men’s Ministry provides opportunities for men to connect, grow, and support one another in their walk with Christ. Whether through gatherings, conversations, or serving together, this ministry helps men strengthen their faith and build lasting relationships.

building/special projects ministry

Our Building & Special Projects Ministry helps care for and improve the spaces where ministry happens every week. From maintenance and repairs to creative projects and facility improvements, this team serves behind the scenes to help create welcoming, functional environments where people can gather, worship, and connect in community.

cleaning crew

Our Cleaning Crew helps create clean, welcoming spaces where people can feel comfortable gathering, worshiping, and connecting. Though much of their work happens behind the scenes, this ministry plays a vital role in the life of the church by helping create an environment where people can focus on community, growth, and experiencing God. Through faithful service and care, the Cleaning Crew helps support every ministry and event that takes place at Calvary each week.

Parking lot attendents

Our Parking Lot Attendants are often the first people guests encounter when arriving at Calvary Church. By offering friendly greetings, helping direct traffic, and creating an organized and welcoming environment, this team plays an important role in helping people feel comfortable and cared for before they even walk through the doors.

Operation christmas child (occ)

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry opportunity that allows our church family to share the love of Jesus with children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box is a simple but powerful reminder that every child is seen, valued, and deeply loved by God. Through generosity and prayer, this ministry helps bring joy, hope, and the message of Christ to children and families across the globe.

Our Community Garden is a place where people can come together to serve, grow, and build relationships while caring for God’s creation. Through planting, harvesting, and sharing resources with others, this ministry helps provide support to the community while creating opportunities for connection, generosity, and outreach.
